Luc Cornet - Atta...
Luc Cornet 2026 M...My name is Luc and I am a 2026 soccer player from France. I currently play as a center midfielder on a U18 Regional 1 level team. Last season, I competed at the U17 National level, where our team finished third in the conference. Soccer is my passion and my priority. It’s what makes me happy.
Through hard work and determination, I have progressed from playing for my local small-town team to earning a spot at an elite soccer academy affiliated with a Division 2 professional club.
I am known for being one of the hardest-working players on the field, a quality that coaches recognize and appreciate. I take pride in being highly coachable and open to feedback, always trying to improve and grow as a player.
Some of my accolades include:
I consider myself a versatile and complete player, especially strong on the offensive side of the game. I’m good at controlling play, knowing when to slow things down or push for a fast attack. My vision and technical skills help me to create numerous opportunities, through precise passes, long balls, smart dribbling, and strong runs.
Defensively, I am a smart and aggressive player, recovering possession through anticipation and winning 1v1 duels. My work ethic is a key strength, as I consistently cover significant ground during matches, averaging 11-12 km per game.
I also take free kicks and corners for my team, which lets me create scoring opportunities for my teammates by delivering quality balls into the penalty box.
While I am proud of my current abilities, I am eager to continue learning and developing as a player.
Academically, I am equally driven. I am bilingual and currently enrolled in the French Baccalaureate program at my high school, with a concentration in biology, economics, and English. I've consistently ranked in the top five of my class. When my soccer journey ends, I’d like to become a physical therapist or fitness trainer for a sports team so I can combine my love of sports with helping athletes perform their best. I’ve already done two internships with physical therapists, which confirmed how much I enjoy helping athletes with their training.
After dealing with two injuries that kept me off the field for several months, I went through some tough times. Instead of letting it get me down, I worked on improving myself, especially mentally. My love for the game grew even stronger, and I learned to focus on enjoying every moment I get to play.
I am motivated to pursue collegiate soccer in the United States, where I can combine high-level athletics with top-tier academics. Being half American, I am excited to experience life in the U.S. and take full advantage of the unique opportunities that a U.S. college education offers.
