Personal Statement
Dear Coaches,
My name is Sam Palmer. I am an 18-year-old soccer player from the UK, currently taking a gap year after my studies. I recently passed in the class of 2023, excelling in both my academics and athletics.
Throughout my life, I have played at an extremely high level of competitive football, most notably representing Chelsea FC for 4 years. After, I played at a high level with Hampton and Richmond Borough FC in the allied counties division (where I got my highlights from). Throughout these years, I have averaged 20 g/a a season, winning top scorer and placing well in many tournaments. I know that my direct style of play will be hugely beneficial to your team.
Academics are equally important to me, I have additionally obtained good grades from the UK - an AAA in my A Levels, and between grades 5-8 in all my GCSEs. This converts to an estimated 3.6-3.7 GPA. My interests span a variety of fields, predominantly: Sports Science, Sport Management, Media Studies/Communication and History.
Playing college soccer at a high collegiate level is a dream of mine. My combination of academic excellence, one of the highest levels of experience, and a passion for the game makes me an exemplar candidate who can contribute both on and off the field for your college.
