Personal Statement
As a goalkeeper I am aware of the importance of being a solid and reliable part of a team. I have been playing since I was six years old and am passionate about football and my position. My collegiate goals are to be the best student athlete I can be and contribute to a team as effectively as possible. I am committed and dedicated to the sport as shown in my achievements ranging from school to club level, winning league and cup trophies. In my opinion, my best characteristic on the pitch, is my knowledge for the game through being coached by professionals from teams such as Arsenal, Brentford and Watford. In addition, I have proven to be able to encourage team members and help my team succeed through being given the role of captain both for my school team and club. What separates me from other recruits is my ability to communicate calmly and with confidence on and off the pitch. Majoring in English Literature will give me the opportunity to explore the possibility of continuing in the sports arena as a journalist.
