Personal Statement
I'm interested in a school that offers a positive academic, sport and social environment to help me become a man that can make a difference for the better in all I do and for all those around me.
I've lived overseas most my life as my Dad was military and now works for NATO, and my Mom is from Bulgaria. I have been playing soccer since I was a little kid 4 years old up in Spain and the last 5 years playing in Federated Italian league play here in Naples Italy. Soccer here in Italy is very competitive at an early age. I've been competing successfully at this level playing year round asa starting forward an attacking midfielder for 6 years. I also played for the American High School team where I was starting forward as a freshmen, sophomore and junior. I transitioned as a junior to starting attacking midfielder from forward and contributed to winning the DODEA European Div 1 Soccer Championship. I'm enjoyed this tough position and it's a good match for my excellent passing and dribbling skills; plus, I can finish with my experience as a forward shooting strong with right or left foot. I also am a 3 year high school varsity team starter (24 goals/26 assists through my junior year). I did well in academics to include taking AP courses, speak 4 languages fluently and just graduated from high school as an honor graduate and with a 3.82 overall GPA.
Like everywhere else the Italian league was cancelled in Spring 2020 and I didn't get to play my fourth year of high school.
We moved to Asheville, NC from Naples, Italy in May 2020. I am a freshman at Appalachian State University as a International Business major. Unfortunately, ASU terminated its soccer program permanently and I'm hoping to play for another university.
I am now attending ASU virtually and playing for HFC U19 Red team (the top level competion team) in Asheville, NC.
I believe can make a strong contribution at the collegiate level based on my drive, technical skills and experience.
