Personal Statement

I am a 5'9 soccer utility player. I am currently a freshman at Carl Sandburg College, Illinois. I have been playing soccer since I was little. At my high school in Africa, I was team captain for 2 years and was voted best player for the season in my senior year.

I am originally from Kenya but lived in Canada too.Currently I'm playing in the NJCAA D1 level. I played in almost all the games and the stats speak for themselves. As a team we improved a lot from previous years.

My personal accolade this season was being in the ALL REGION TEAM 2016. It was a team effort and couldn't have achieved it without input from my teammates and coaches.

I would like to be at a larger school and play on a high competitive team. Financial assistance is an important factor for me in my recruiting process, with my family still being primarily in Africa. My interests for academic majors would be medical related. I would also like to play on a team where I can show my passion for the game and help assist in winning championships.
