Personal Statement
Soccer was obviously always a passion deep inside me, however it never came easy. I moved to Saudi Arabia at the age of 7 and resided in a compound, as a young child I was reluctant and shy to join the older kids and play football with them in the public soccer field. When I finally built up the courage to play I was jeered at and thrown off the field due to the lack of size and skill. After that day I trained for a whole year on my own with the ball at my feet. Fast forward 9 years and here I am with a trial at a pro club in Austria (F.C Wacker Innsbruck) and having played 3 years of varsity soccer. I aspire to pursue my childhood dream of becoming one of the best soccer players in the world. As a young man from Egypt this may prove to be difficult as the competition is intense and the country I live in does not provide the best facilities and habits to develop my playing style, all was done in my own effort and on my own time. I know that with the coaching and competitiveness of the NCAA teams I will develop into a complete player helping me pursue my dream.
