Mohammed Badawy '16 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer since the early age of 6. I immediately fell in love with the game and always spent more time playing it than everyone else. Here in Kuwait, the soccer culture is highly competitive and respected. I've joined several clubs and played in many different tournaments since middle school. To be completely honest, I am not the best when it comes to technical abilities, but as my club coach always says " its not what you do with the ball that defines how great of a player you are, its what you do without the ball that defines you." Since then I've worked very hard on my positioning, and I learned how to effectively pressure the back line of an opponent. In the field I'm the hardworking kind who never stops running and always stays positive with a smile on his face. I try to boost my teammate's confidence whenever we are behind. As far as individual attributes go I can say I have a really good stamina ( never out of breath ) and relatively fast ( compared to players I played against .) I have important offensive and defensive abilities, I don't have the most powerful of shots but they are very precise and accurate,I can also dribble well in tight situations. Defensively I have a great standing tackle which I think could be useful in midfield. In the classroom, I always stay focused on task and do my best, I also volunteered to be an assistant teacher for the KG kids. I love to be involved in charity works and community services, I have a positive personality on and off the field, willing to help whoever is in need. I always strive to be the best and work hard for it, I've been planning for college Athletics and studying in the US for 3 years now. I've always attended US college fairs coming to Kuwait and I'd always ask them about their athletics first. The latest fair will be held on the 1st of October 2015 which I will be attending too, I've always been relentlessly in search of a wonderful future of studies and athletics in the US.
