Soccer has always been present in my life. As part of a country that excels in such sport, throughout my journey I have been engaged with an ambition that to me is far more that just kicking a ball around; instead, it has made me feel part of something even bigger, a team.
Ever since I learned to walk, either my steps were accompanied by a ball, or my dinners revolved around football matches.
When I started growing up, the dream of following soccer in the future became stronger, as I started to represent my school's first team. Every training session and every match made me more passionate by this sport I am truly passionate about.
As COVID-19 hit worldwide, Chile entered a phase where matches and tournaments were suspended. Even though my hopes of making 2021 a year of scoring goals and playing as a team, my enthusiasm had to take a break, but as a team we worked together to encourage our love for the sport and avoid loosing that desire to win.
As my last year in high school, I enjoyed every single minute in the field, earning third place in the British Schools National Tournament in Chile, made me want more out of this sport, because through each match I not only grew up as a player but as a person as well.
By the academic part, the last years i have been struggling, but this year i made a change giving my two hundred percent in the academics and in the field, giving remarkable results and realizing how capable i am in what i propose to myself.
I really enjoy meeting new people, getting to know them, and building friendships with others. My friend group is a group I will never forget, which has been there with me in the good times and the bad times. I am personally greatful of finding my friend group.
