Personal Statement
My name is Courage Achoda and I was born on the 12th of September 2007.
I am a striker who loves to score goals and bring my fellow attackers into play to be their most efficient in front of goal, this has allowed my school team to experience a lot of victories in the previous soccer competitions we have participated in. I love to take on the defenders 1v1 to my teams advantage and my height serves as leverage for me personally in front of goal as I have scored many headers during the games I have played in recently.
As a regular starter for my schools soccer team I am thought to provide a plethora of benefits to the attacking force of my team as I have the strength to shield and protect the ball, I have the pace to outrun defenders, I have the passing range to pick out my wingers when they are in a better positions to score and my first touch and control on the ball allows me to express myself in the best way possible in order for my team to win games. My biggest strength however is my shooting as I have a very powerful shot to put the ball past keepers and the accuracy on my shots have barely let me down in the recent games I have played in.
My values as a person extend past just doing the right thing for my own conscience to be at peace as I enjoy uplifting others and making them feel good when they might be experiencing hard times, I prioritize honesty, discipline and hard work above many other qualities as you need these to be the best individual you can be and so you can accomplish your goals and aspirations. My leadership qualities on the other hand speaks to my persona as I am the current Head boy and Sports prefect of my school, Greensprings School Lekki, and I cherish impacting the lives of my fellow prefects, friends and junior students positively while upholding my academics as evidence that it is possible to be an educated and impactful sportsman on and off the field of play. Most importantly as my schools soccer team captain I love to lead my team to victory no matter the circumstance anywhere, anytime.
I dream of becoming a professional soccer player playing at the highest level of the sport, while being an impactful aristocrat and philanthropist who does well in contributing positively to society.
