Nico Bach - 2022/...Personal Statement
I grew up in Madrid and started my football (soccer) journey there at age 4, where I played for CD Canillas, a feeder academy for Real Madrid. My family and I then moved to the US, where I joined Ginga FC. There, I learned a lot from my first coach, Everson Maciel, who currently plays futsal for the US national team. After 8 years at Ginga where I grew not only as a player but also as a person, my family and moved back to Europe, more specifically to Switzerland. We moved to a region of Switzerland where French was the main language, which meant I had to learn a new language to communicate with my teammates. I joined Lutry FC, and while I struggled at first, I have since then found my place at the club and recently enjoyed my best season to date as we gained promotion to the highest league in the canton.
Because I love learning about the game, I'm an extremely coachable player. I've played football in 3 different countries, so I know multiple playstyles and can switch between them at will. Honestly though, I just love football. It's been my passion since I was young, and it always will be.

- 2022 F.C. Lutry (Competing in the highest league in the canton of Vaud (Promotion) in the category B1.)
- Playing a year up with the 2006s, I enjoyed my best season to date as we won the league title and went undefeated. We were defeated in the cup by a team playing in the league above us, although we avenged the loss later in the year.
- 2021 F.C. Lutry (Competing in the highest league in the canton of Vaud (Promotion) in the category C1.)
- We made a deep run in the cup, but were ultimately beaten by a side which was a league above us. However, we were able to win the league, in what was my first season playing a key part in the team.

Training
- 3 times a week, I train for two hours with my club. We play our matches on the weekend.
- 8 years
- I started training for a club team in 2015, and since then I have continued to train extremely hard. I pride myself in my work ethic, and feel it is a big reason in why I perform well.
