Personal Statement

I'm Mateo Vidaurre, a 16-year-old Junior in High school. I'm an entrepreneurial student and a natural leader currently living in Lima, Peru who believes that pursuing your passion by attending university/college is the most important pillar to start a professional career, consolidate within a working environment, and efficiently adapt into an educational system that provides you what's needed to be prepared for life and face unprecedented obstacles and challenges on a daily basis.
I attend Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt school and form part of the varsity team since I was a freshman in 2018. I'm also a current youth player in Club Universitario de Deportes which is the most commemorated professional club in Peru. I've formed part of various school soccer teams and I'm a 2x ADCA tournament winner and 3x Copa Movistar qualified player. Also, I've formed part of the U-15 Peruvian national team in 2019.
I'd like to study economics with a certain concentration/minor related to finance, investment/risk management. I'm a member of Mu Alpha Theta (i.e. Math Honor Society), form part of the Business Professionals of America (i.e. Business Honor Society) and the Varsity Club. I'm a Peer Group Connection Leader, who specifically helps freshman year students experience their first year in high school in the best possible way. I'm also a tutor for the "Teach Me Volunteering" where I teach specific academic content to kids with low resources and lack of opportunities.
