Personal Statement
My Name Is Edgar Schottland Levy, I am 17 years old and live in Lima, Peru. I am a senior student of Colegio Leon Pinelo in Lima where I will graduate this coming December.
I am currently a goalkeeper playing at Universitario de Deportes U 17 team (the biggest and most popular club in Peru) and have been part of the Peruvian National U15 and U17 teams having played various tournaments during the last 3 years (U15 and U17 South American tournaments, Montaigu Tournament in France, and friendly matches with other South American National Teams)
I am interested in combining academics and sports in an environment that will allow me to benefit from both as I firmly believe one should complement the other.
Soccer has helped me to be more independent, organized and disciplined.
I have also been confronted with many socio-economic realities that have allowed me to mature and appreciate many things we sometimes take for granted.
One of my goals in life is to play professional soccer, not before obtaining a high-level education from a prestigious university, which will prepare for my life during soccer and after as well.
Some of my abilities as Goalkeeper are a good foot play, position, air play and most important a good and positive communication with my defenders, that has allowed me to achieve the best statistics in goals against.
