Any team in world football looks for resilience and adaptability in their players to pull them out of the depths of hardship that all teams eventually face. Like many of my peers, teachers, teammates, and coaches would declare, I am someone who utilizes these qualities to inspire those around me and help myself. Since a young age, resilience has been vital to the survival of my dreams and ambitions. When I was only 13, I faced life-threatening injuries sustained during a freak 12-foot fall that left me with several broken ribs and a torn lung. According to doctors, my dreams of playing football beyond the amateur level were at substantial risk, leaving me in a very tough spot. I proved many wrong when I was back on my feet just nine days later and back on the field less than a month after the fall. My determination, fueled by resilience, led me to learn from this lesson that any adversity can be reversed and defeated. In terms of college football, I understand that this will be one of the most difficult challenges, filled with a multitude of adversities so far in my life. However, considering my immense determination and excellent resilience, it will be a challenge that will conclude in triumph as I aim to obtain a prestigious degree in a top-ranked program and further develop my football abilities.
