Personal Statement
I’m a right-footed center forward and winger but I’ve also played as an attacking midfielder. I’m a dual US-UK citizen, but I’ve grown up in China, India, Italy and England. I played for four years in Rome, before my family moved to London, where until this fall I played for Focus Football, an non-affiliated academy.
I’ve been offered trials from several professional academies, including Fulham, Arsenal and Aston Villa. I spent eight weeks on trial with Tottenham Hotspur, playing with Spurs in every match in a national tournament in which we reached the finals. In a different tournament hosted by Arsenal, I scored two goals for Spurs against Aston Villa and we won the tournament. When I was with Focus Football, I played against the academies for Leicester City, Manchester City and Sheffield United. I also scored four goals in a 7-on-7 match against an academy team from Liverpool FC.
I was recruited to join the academy for Luton Town, a professional team in the Championship, but I had to back out because it would have required me to drop out of high school. I’m now living in New York playing for Met Ovals u19 MLS Next team.
My goal is to play college soccer in the United States. I spent last summer playing in the USA and loved it. I’m a strong student and am looking for a strong education, which the professional system in England doesn’t provide.
