Personal Statement
Representing Watford FC Trust, representing the first XI of my high school and winning 4 county tournaments, making my adult debut aged 16 for North Greenford United and gaining my Level 1 FA coaching qualification are all highlights of my soccer career.
I started my sporting life as fly half for Wasps A team (an English rugby team) from the age of 6. I persisted at rugby for 5 years, until I had the chance to represent my school as a goalkeeper in a national soccer competition that we won. From that moment I set my heart on goalkeeping, gave up rugby, and pursued my passion for soccer. I had to start at the bottom of all leagues playing as a substitute for a Sunday league team. I slowly worked my up and now play in the English U19 National Youth League.
I am good at maths, and scored in the top 3% of all UK students doing GCSE maths (gaining a level 9 or A**). I feel privileged to have been asked by Watford FC Trust to help my team mates pass their exams by giving them additional maths tutoring.
Playing college soccer would give me the chance to engage in sport at the highest possible level, whilst enabling me to continue my academic studies for a university degree. I know that my confidence, enthusiasm and personality will bring far more to the team and College than my goalkeeping ability alone.
