My name is Jack Kastner and I am a sophomore in high school. Here in the UK where, as you know, football is our national pastime, I kicked a soccer ball soon after I could walk, and started playing competitively when I turned 10.
While only a sophomore, I am the captain of my high school varsity team. However my main soccer focus has been playing in the Aldershot Fc Academy program (for which I travel 1 hour and 40 minutes each way from my home in London). I have played with Aldershot for the past four years. We compete against some of the top academy teams in the UK: Watford, Brighton and Fulham, to name a few.
I'm an extremely competitive footballer, but my competitiveness translates to my academics as all, where I have excelled and been at the top of my grade at an academically challenging high school. My particular interests are math and science, and I am in honors classes for those subjects. As in my soccer life, I have been blessed to have been taught by the most dedicated teachers one could hope for.
I have learned that I do my best when challenged. Consequently, I plan to consider colleges that are a good match for me both academically and as an athlete.
Thank you very much for taking the time to get to know me, and I look forward to the challenges ahead.
