Personal Statement
I'm a self driven team player. Not afraid to lead, but also willing to be led. I believe combining academics and sport will make me a better person and help me to make this world a better place to live in, in my own small way.
Soccer for me is not just a sport. It is a tool that can be used to positively impact people's lives, especially in the third world countries. My success in soccer will help me grow my network and be able to reach out to more kids who need some inspiration and the means to achieve anything that they set their mind to. I believe that 'If I can do it, so can the next less privileged kid out there'.
I was introduced to soccer by my father at the age of four. I fell in love with the sport, decided to make it part of my career and have never looked back since. In 2017, I lost my father. His demise made me aim even higher academically and in sport. His dream to see me play soccer at an advanced level gives me the zeal to push harder.
