Personal Statement
DEDICATED. I have been playing competitive soccer since I was 5 years old, spending 7 seasons at the Atletico de Madrid Academy (winning 3 league titles at various levels). This meant training a minimum 3/4 days a week to the 5 I train now (excluding games) for the last 10 years. DETERMINED. Knowing first hand the meaning of "student athlete" (my father played soccer at the University of San Francisco in the early 90s), I knew from very early on, that I wanted to pursue higher education while at the same time competing at the highest level. This is only possible at a US University. Everything I do from an academic and athletic point of view is aimed at achieving this goal. DEPENDABLE & COACHABLE. I am eager and fully focused; I wake up my parents before training sessions and games. I aim to be the first to arrive to the facilities/pitch and have never been late. I have captained several of my Atletico de Madrid Academy teams and are now building seniority at AD Union Adarve to achieve the same. Coaches know they can trust me on and off the pitch and lean on me to help them with other team members. On the pitch, I am vocal, constructive and always strive to lead from the front and only by setting the example.
From an athletics/soccer point of view, I have a strong CV, and both know and trust I have the SKILLS and MENTAL STRENGTH it takes to succeed at the highest college soccer level. If I make a mistake, I get up and work as hard as I can to avoid doing it again and if I make it again, I get up and work harder. This said, I am also humble and are fully aware I have a lot to learn and fully confide that coaches will help me grow and develop to the best student-athelete and person I can be.
From an academic standpoint, I have a totally improvable GPA and will WORK HARD to getting it to at least a 3.5 and maintaining it there until I graduate in 2026.
To conclude, I humbly request that you reach out to me when possible (and allowable) if you are reading this. You will not regret taking the time to talk to me and see me play. I will be updating my video regularly with my work on the field. Additionally, this coming 23-24 season I will be playing several games which are likely to be televised (vs. Real Madrid and my old team Atletico de Madrid - I can let you know when that is if you like) which could provide you with the possibility of seeing me play live.
