Personal Statement
My name is Jordan Drummond. I'm a Jamaican looking to further my career and would love to join the program. I was enrolled in the Manning's School Sixth Form programme. I possess excellent teamwork and leadership capabilities. I have captained the school at all levels except one, the senior team which I was Vice Captain.
I would love an opportunity to study at your College. I want to attain an Associate or bachelor's Degree in the field of Physical Education, Education, Broadcast Journalism or Cybersecurity and would like to begin studying towards that dream.The Pandemic had set me back massively as I was to be studying in canada by now but I am now back in good stead ready to go I have been playing in the NJCAA Region X for USC Salkehatchie and I believe I can more than add quality to your team. On the field I’m very versatile as I can play anywhere in midfield or Defense. I’m very comfortable on the ball and read the game exceptionally well. Since this season I have been operating as A Right back and I have been playing very well especially with it being my first year.
I believe I can adapt well to any team and I am a keen listener and excellent leader as my previous coaches can vouch for. I have led my community team in the 3rd tier of Jamaican football at the young age of 17 and have captained my high School at almost all levels of soccer.
I have researched the soccer program and I noticed that players perform well academically as well as on the field. I believe that I can become a better soccer player and also achieve my academic goals at your College. My aspirations are to become a professional player, a Sports Journalist, a soccer coach, a physiotherapist or anything within the world of sports media or education. I believe I am a great fit for your program and can bring a lot of value to the team.
