Personal Statement
Hello, I am Billy Plett, and welcome to my profile. I am 18 years old and currently playing for World Soccer Academy Mens Team as a right back.
I recently won the U18 ESFA Cup, U19 ECFA League and I achieved ’21-’22 most improved player, all with Brooke House College. I am currently the starting right back for WSA Mens Team and I have played against a variety of professional and semi-professional academies with Brooke House College FA (eg. Norwich, West Bromwich Albion, Chesterfield, Boston United, etc.) as well as competitive academies in the ECFA.
I have always dreamt of playing NCAA Division 1 soccer and going on to sign a professional contract. Coaches say that I am a natural leader and very versatile, being able to play multiple positions and make an impact on the team's skillset and relationships. I bring both an attacking and defensive threat at right back, and have an impact on each game. I am always the hardest working on my team and will give it my all, working tirelessly to get to university and a professional level of soccer.
Sports (specifically football) have always been a huge part of my life. From at 3 years old, to playing for Bonivital Premiere Division, and the Vancouver Whitecaps program from ages 12 to 14. I have always had a ball at my feet.
At 15, I dedicated myself to aim higher, combining school and football abroad in residence at Brooke House College, a soccer academy in Leicester, England. This decision requires daily discipline and passion to work harder each day to make my vision a reality, moving towards university level and professional football.
Education wise, I have always enjoyed school. I study for 5 IGCSE’s: English, Math, Combined Science, Business, and PE. I am currently working on 3 A levels: Biology, Sports Science, and Psychology. I plan to pursue a career in chiropractic or sports medicine.
Thank you for visiting my profile.
