Personal Statement

I'm a 17-year-old Colombian student, that loves soccer with his life. I have been playing soccer my whole life, since 4 years old. I have played in several cities of Colombia, like in Cali I played for Deportivo Cali, in my actual living city (Medellin) I played 3 years in Nacional and right now I am playing for ABC, and I'm playing sub 18 an in LAF. I am a really competitive person, that likes to work in a team to accomplish goals. I'm a really nice guy, funny and really social, I get along with almost everybody I am around. I also work really hard for my grades, that is why I left a 3.5+ GPA for 11th grade. My goal in life is to play soccer in the USA and be in a university that will make me happy, to be able to work in the US and bring my family from Colombia to the USA. In the field, my biggest strength is giving them the confidence to my team that any ball near the enemy's side is near I will score.  I also give confidence and peace to my team when I receive the ball, and when the team needs my support I can lead them to victory because I consider myself a leader.

  • This is a tournament I played with my school. It is a tournament from the Private schools in Colombia and is really competitive because each school finds the best 18 athletes to take to the tournament from all Highschool. I performed so well, I was called and played headline all matches, being a Sophomore. I scored 7 goals throughout the tournament and was in the top 3 of the most goals in the tournament. We ended up losing the semi-finals after a really hard mashup with the local team.

  • This is a tournament that lasts around 1 year, is the most competitive tournament in Medellin and I played it with ABC one of the top teams in Medellin, Colombia. I performed remarkably throughout the tournament scoring more than 20 goals and being in the top 10 scorers in the tournament. We sadly lost the final 1-0 but we ended up being 2nd place vs a huge team named Aristigol( Team being coached by the famous soccer player Víctor Hugo Aristizábal)
