Personal Statement

I am a 17 year old high school student. I will be finishing High School on May of 2024. I play football Soccer since I was very young, around 5 years old. My father took me at the age of 4 to the Barcelona Academy in Cancun as he saw me kicking the ball all day long at my house. But I did not want to stay. My father told me that I said that when I turned 5 years old. So, when I turned 5, my father took me, this time to another Academy: The Atlante Academy. Atlante at that time was a First Division team in Cancun, where I live. I was with Atlante for 3 or 4 years, and then my group of friends split up. Some did not continue and others either moved to other Soccer Academies or changed to another sport. I moved to the “Cracks del Futuro” Soccer Academy, where I still play. This academy is specialized in preparing Soccer players for professional careers. So the team is very competitive. During my time with Cracks del Futuro, I was called to a few tryouts with professional teams to join their junior teams. When I was 13 years old I went to a week tryout in Morelia, a first division team. But that was just right before the pandemic hit. So I came back from Morelia and all plans halted. After the pandemic, in 2022 I participated in tryouts for the Chivas first division team, who sent a couple of people to find talent in Cancun. Me and another friend were selected out of a group of about 60 players for attending a 2-week tryout period at the Chivas “Fuerzas Básicas” in the city of Guadalajara. However, I ended up not going because a few weeks before flying to Guadalajara, I broke my arm playing Soccer, and I had a cast in all my left arm for 8 weeks, then I went on recovery, and it took me like 4 months to get back to playing Soccer. My arm fully recovered and I came back to training and playing with the team. I train every day from Monday to Friday for 2 hours and then I go to the gym for about 1 hour. And on Saturday and Sunday I play on 2 different leagues with Cracks del Futuro. I play the U-17 league of Cancun. We reached the Final and we are playing it by the end of February. The other league I am playing at is in the Deportivo Viany league, which is known as the “Primera Fuerza” league. In that league many ex-professionals play, so the level is good. We are playing semifinals of that league that has 16 teams on February 25, 2024.

I love playing Soccer and I give my 100% in every game, as I do not like loosing.

Thank you for reading and considering me.
