Personal Statement
My name is Adam Saint-Pierre - I have three nationalities : Swiss, Canadian and French.
I love both sports and studies, and I excel at both.
On the sports side, I am passionate about soccer, since I started, at age 7 - always as a goalkeeper. As goalkeeper, I am the soft leader type excelling not only in the necessary technical skills required by the role, but also with thorough my vision of the game, my constant awareness and attention to the dynamics - and thus my ability to effectively communicate with my team. I have an always positive attitude, my communication is effective and on point, and I have an innate ability to manage and motivate my team as needed. As mentioned, my ability to read the game, anticipate and analysis of game dynamics are one of my strengths. As the 11th player, I understand how crucial it is to set the pace of the game, and I excel at making quick, forward passes to initiate counter-attacks, while maintaining a keen focus on the evolving situations.
On the academics side, i will be completing my undergrad this year in June 2024, specialized in Economics and Law + optional Advanced Mathematics. In the Swiss system, the diploma is called "Maturity" - and is the equivalent of an IB (International Baccalaureate). Next year will be university (Bachelor) and I would be really keen to pursue my studies alongside playing elite soccer - in an American college or University. The best of both worlds for another 4 years.
I have visited USA twice, and my father is Canadian - I am therefore very interested by USA / North America and the opportunities it is offering.
I believe also that MLS is taking off very nicely - and has the potential to grow and become hugely popular in the coming years.
I look forward to meeting you -
Adam Saint-Pierre, 17 y.o.
