Personal Statement
I'm Luca Pavan, a Brazilian that was born and raised in the Bahamas. Ever since I can remember I was always surrounded by Football and had always strived to play at my best.
Though I went from position-to-position as I grew up, I settled on becoming a goalkeeper at the age of 15, abandoning my previous positions of center-back and right-back. My passion for the sport grew exponentially and I settled on wanting to become a great goalkeeper from that point on and cherished every training session and game day from that day on, and I really started to improve my skills and surpass many of my peers on a technical period in a span of months. I would even fly abroad back to my ethnic country of Brazil to indulge in further and much more difficult training sessions, which allowed me to further grow as a player. I am now recognized around the Bahamas as one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers in the nation.
As for my life outside of football and more importantly, my day-to-day life inside school and other extracurriculars I take part in, I have grown into an even better academic student than an athlete. I have stayed consistent in my studies and often strive to improve the small details that I often find need changing in my school-life, which has lead me to reach a consistent new high in my GPA which has allowed me to stay a Principal List and High Honor Roll Student these past few years. I also take part in school clubs such as a news and media group and a performing arts challenge in which we must create and perform and create a play within the time frame of 24 hours.
My skills, now honed to greater heights than every imaginable, have now opened opportunities for me in order to possibly continue playing this sport on an even more serious level and possibly a professional level, and I hope I'm able to fulfill this dream of mine.
