Personal Statement
My name is Walter Sawyer. I am currently 16 years old. I have been playing soccer since I was seven years old and it became a passion of mine since the day I started. The sport is always on my mind. I have always wished to play professional soccer one day and I would like to take a big step towards that goal by playing college soccer. Overall, I am a very good player and I think that I can be a good addition to any team. My family has always been there for me from the beginning of my soccer career up to now. They have always been very supportive by showing up to my games. My teammates and I have very great bonds. We have known each other since we started playing at seven years old. They always encourage me to get better and better everyday. In 2019 I made the Bahamas under 15 national team. This was a very big accomplishment for me and my teammates. Traveling with my team to represent my country was a very good experience for me and my teammates as soccer players, even though we did not do as well as we thought we would. Computers and electronics is also something that I loved working with since I was a child. Technology is slowly taking over in today’s society and we must learn to adjust to it. I always found games very interesting and fun to play and work with these devices and I would love to pursue a degree in computer science.
