Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since the age of six and I want to continue playing all the way through college and hopefully after college as well. I want to be a great example of a student athlete who can exceed both academically and athletically. I am a good candidate for college teams in the US because at the age of seven I moved overseas and have been playing soccer internationally for the last nine years. I have experienced many different play styles through playing in the Middle East and in America and it has helped me adapt to any situation on the pitch. I am also unique not only because of my nine years overseas but also because of my athletic background. I have played on the High school varsity Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball team including starting in Soccer and Volleyball. I made these teams because of my mindset; its not about talent but about the hard work that you put into your activity. Academically I am also unique because of my experiences overseas. Having been in an American curriculum internationally I have learned a lot about different cultures and traveled to 22 countries where I have first hand experience of these cultures. I would love to come back to the US and spend my college years in the country where I was born.
