Personal Statement
My name is Kaleb Gebrekiristos. I am 5'9, from Perth, Australia with my main position being a box-to-box central midfielder however I can still operate as a deep lying playmaker or as an attacking midfielder and when needed as a left or right winger. I graduated high school at the end of 2022, and I currently play for University of Western Australia Soccer Club at State League 1 level.
I would like to play at the highest level possible because of my competitive nature and due to my hard work, I believe I'll fit right in. I train two times a day, one session in the morning and one in the evening. I do this five days a week with a break on Fridays and a game on Saturday afternoon. I take every training session as if it's my last, giving 110%. When I'm not training on the pitch, I'll be at home doing small things such as juggling, practicing new skill moves and small things I pick up from my coaches at training.
I've watched games of NCAA soccer and I've seen the atmosphere and that is something I would like to be a part of. I've played soccer ever since I could walk, and the first game I remember watching was Ghana v Uruguay in 2010 and I stayed up all night with my family to watch this game with my family. I would like to study at a University/College where I'm able to get an education and degree in Engineering or Information Technology. I see myself as a midfielder with good technical ability, able to beat defenders, play off smart passes and I'm good with ball retention.
