Daniel Christensen '23 Recruiting Profile

My aspiration is to play at a strong collegiate level by landing a scholarship, where I could study the Majors, Exercise Science, and Sports Management. If it is possible, my biggest passion would be that playing at a strong university would allow me to enter the MLS Combine. I have always been a passionate footballer and hate it when I don't give 100%. I represented the Philippines at the Under 23 Level in April 2023 and have played at a high level in multiple countries in Europe and Asia as a center-back, full-back, and center midfielder along multiple countries so I'm able to adjust to a different system and playstyle if needed.  My best attributes would be my defending, IQ, passing ability, and responsibility as they are the key factors to being a defensive-minded player.

What makes me a good candidate for any team is my leadership skills I have the desire to learn, understand my mistakes, and improve from them, and overall want to contribute in any possible way. Furthermore, I just want to be the best version of myself and to ensure that my team endures an impact from my ability and personality in a positive manner. 

I enjoy learning and studying Sports Science because, in general, it is an interesting field and how a healthy body works. Moreover, the most interesting thing is seeing how much of a difference there is to some of the top athletes' abilities such as their reflexes, vertical and all-around physical body performance and how it shows the importance of scientific principles behind the performances of any sport. I'm determined to reach an academic goal that is set and just to do my best to work hard and achieve it.
