Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. Since I first stepped on the field and put on my soccer boots, I always had the dream to succeed and become a talented soccer player. I know that playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change and have a great positive impact on my whole life. I was part of the FC Basel youth team and the Swiss national team, where I faced teams like FC Barcelona, Chelsea FC or FC Bayern München.
I have excellent ball handling skills with great first touches. I am a very intelligent player, who really likes to be the heart and center of the team. With few touches I like to pass the ball and change the game from one to the other side. I am a varsity soccer player in my school and I am very ambitious and competitive to win every game. I am a team leader and captain on my local team and therefore try to lead and help my teammates on and off the soccer field. I am very coachable and known to be one of the hardest working player on my team.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA every semester. As in sports, my aim is to successfully complete every school work on a high standard. I was part of a coaching team for the younger grades in our International School of Basel.
I want to attend a college where I can push and improve myself in the classroom and on the field every day. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right university match at the highest level of competition possible.
