Personal Statement
My name is Bernardo Oberlaender Ribeiro, Brazilian, 18 years old and I am currently playing for Santa Cruz FC Lowell. I arrived in Nashua 2 months ago and my goal is to have the opportunity to play soccer at this highly recommended college.
I've been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and I believe I have a good experience in this long and difficult journey. I've played semi-pro levels in Dubai, Africa and now at Santa Cruz FC. When I was young I played for several teams in Brazil and in 2018 I played the GOTHIA CUP in Sweden.
I believe that I am different from other players because I am dedicated my whole life, soccer for me is not a job and never will be, this is what I love to do, I am known for giving my life on the field and always giving my best to help the team with my experience, leadership, hard work and of course with my Brazilian talent. Another positive point is that I have played football at a high level since I was little and because I have had several experiences playing in the best youth leagues in Rio de Janeiro, having played in Latvia against great teams like Zenit and PSV, I had the experience of playing in Africa and competing in a championship in Dubai.
My position is center defense midfield. I'm a midfielder who goes from box to box, who likes to attack as well as defend. With the ball I'm a passing player, shooting and I like to play with the ball. And without the ball I'm a lion, who helps the team as much as possible tactically and defensively. I like to give assists and present inside the opponent's area to finish.
