Personal Statement
Greetings,
Being a winner of The Middle East Unity Cup on the varsity team in my sophomore year has probably been my most excelling experience. After coming second in the Mediterranean Cup as a freshman, I have been able to capitalize on my mistakes and learn from them. My work ethic and determination to constantly progress has influenced me as a person through pushing my limitations every time I reach a milestone. I am able to rapidly recognize and comprehend information, and this has definitely helped me move faster and more efficiently through any obstacles I’ve had through my life. The sport quickly became a part of my daily routine and has now emerged as one of the most prominent aspects of my life. Being a 12-time captain for teams across several sports at all ages, as well as a member of the NHS, I know what it takes to pursue a goal and lead a team to victory. In order to be where I am today, I have had to overcome several obstacles, considering the fact that I am in the most competitive school in the country. However, with my ability to learn, understand, and grow, I have been able to vanquish any dilemma that has come by me. I am able to take constructive criticism from people and capitalize on my mistakes. This trait has allowed me to excel significantly through school and sport because I am consistently looking to enhance myself. I trust that I not only have the capacity to compete on a college team, but also the hunger, attitude, and leadership initiative to make a substantial impact on your team.
