Personal Statement
My passion since when I was a kid was soccer, as I all can remember was a ball on my feet. Playing throughout my youth, I was always certain that it would always be part of my life. Always being supported by my family and friends to pursue my dream, to become a professional soccer player and I'll tell you why I would be a perfect candidate for your program!
Throughout my life i've lived in several countries: Spain, Italy, USA and the UAE. They all differ in terms of playing style and the pace of the game which has made me play in different atmospheres. Essentially this has allowed me to have an ability to adapt to the several methods of playing, hence playing with low and high tempos, possessive or one two touches and lastly to play in a highly defensive environment to later counter attack or to play a balanced playing style through the entirety of the game. Furthermore i'm able to speak several languages being English, Spanish and Italian which can allow versatility with my teammates on the field.
Lastly, my biggest accomplishment up to date would be winning the league title in Spain, it was the year in which i had grown exponentially on and off the field. My trainer was an ex manchester city academy coach. He taught me how to refine my technique and to try and find quick solutions while playing defence when we were in a tight spot (Such as conceding a goal situation). He taught us to think about strategy, what could we do to prevent this again? This experience has allowed me to be a better and more efficient communicator, working as a team and indicating my team mates where they should position themselves.
My experiences have taught me to strive for excellence and never give up in the face of adversity. These lesson have helped me to become a more efficient and determined player and academic student and i won't give up no matter the odds.
