Personal Statement
My name is Enrico Dominic del Rosario from Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands and through my life soccer has been and always my passion, I play on my club team (MP United FC) and NMI national team (Men’s and U18) and I consider myself as a speedy outside back with an ability to attack offensively. My style of play is extremely athletic and physically rugged, dominating in the air with a great deal of intensity and an exceptional motor. I have good qualities and traits that I believe will be beneficial to the team's success, i.e., hardworking, committed, coachable and disciplined.
Just to tell you about myself. I am a Outside Back and Defensive Midfielder on my Club team and in NMI national team. I was the starting Central Back of the NMI U15 national team in all our EAFF (East Asian Football Federation) tournaments as well as in the NMI U18 national team as Full Back. I was also selected to be part of the NMI men’s national team that competed in the 1st Round of EAFF East Asian Cup in 2012 and I was the youngest in the team, I played in all the games as a substitute to the much older left full back on the squad. In the NMIFA U18 league, I played for MP United FC and I am the team captain. We won 3 straight league championships and 3 FA Cup championships. I am a consistent awardee of Best 11 (Defender). In the NMI M-League (Division 1) I am playing for MP United FC Typhoons as Central Back, our team started in Division 2 and was promoted to Division 1. MPU Typhoons won the 2014 NMI FA Cup as D1 team. As a defender I hold a lot of responsibility for keeping my team in the game and holding our opponents.
This summer I played for Agila FC team (Philippines) in the U17 division of the United Football League 2014. After seeing me play in last year’s edition of the Pilipinas Cup with my club team from Saipan the management asked me if I can join their squad. Our team finished 2nd place in this year’s edition of the tournament.
I am planning on getting more training to be a better player as well as to concentrate on my high school senior year so that I can achieve my goals to play college soccer as well as getting a good education for my future. My desired major is Sports Science or Physical Therapy.
