Personal Statement
Dear coaches,
My name is Niyel Fontenelle. I currently live in Castries, St. Lucia. I am very interested in coming to America because I have a great passion for soccer and there are many other opportunities to demonstrate my talents, learn and achieve my goal of becoming a professional soccer player. I look forward to learning about different cultures, growing as a person, and experiencing what an American university has to offer. As a Saint Lucian, I want to bring a unique and different perspective to your college team, along with a great work ethic and creativity on the field and a very consistent game. I know there is more to life than sports and contributing to the community is also very important to me.
I am known to be a dribbler and a bit of a playmaker. I can also read the game quickly and have a lot of common sense that helps me make good decisions on and off the field.
Playing on an American college team would be a great opportunity and I won't take it for granted. I am very much looking forward to meeting you and discussing future opportunities in both academic and sports fields.
