Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Pablo, and football is my passion. For as long as I remember, football has always been my safe and peaceful space. I started playing when I was 4 years old in Ghana, and for the past 14 years, I have played all around the globe. Currently, I am playing in Dakar, Senegal, for the International School of Dakar. My greatest achievement is winning the 2014/15 league season with Nieuwer-Amstelsche Football Club (NFC) in Amsterdam, as well as winning the league at Boldklubben Skjold in Copenhagen in collaboration with my former school, Copenhagen International School, in 2019/20.
I am a born leader, on and off the pitch, which shows a huge level of character, something needed on and off the football field for success. I say this because I have captained all teams that I have played on before, pushing myself and my teammates to give that extra effort in order to both succeed, have fun, and enjoy the game we love so much. This being said, it gives me great pleasure to see my teammates pushing themselves in order to improve, in order to get their spot on a team, or simply to show the coach that they should not be seen as inferior to others.
I currently run Sunday football trainings and matches for the kids at school who have the same passion I do and are dying to get out on the pitch. With this, I hope to expose many of my peers to this program and the opportunity that is given to us through the sport that we love. I hope to get in contact with many of you coaches and am extremely excited for what the future holds for me.
