Personal Statement
Ever since the first day I had set foot on the soccer pitch, ten years ago, I have never experienced anything as enjoyable as soccer that has changed my outlook on life and the trajectory of my last couple years. If you ask anyone who has known me, they would describe me as someone who always has a soccer ball on him and is exploring the next skill to employ during a game. With the intense training on and off the field, the individual days of fatigue and stagnation, and the payoff of teamwork and training during a win, I have never questioned my love for the sport that has been the fuel of my everyday life and shaped me to the person I am today. I love the rush of an intense practice session and the teamwork aspect of the sport, and I would love to further advance my athletic career at a school that would challenge me both academically and athletically -- every single day of the next four years of my life.
As a student-athlete who is passionate in both avenues, I can attest to the fact that I am extremely ambitious and hard-working, and able to quickly adapt to whatever conditions are given. On the field, I invest my effort in training sessions and competitive games, in hopes of bring great return for the benefit of my team. As I deeply believe in constant self-improvement with consistent hard work, I believe I am very coachable and will be a strong member of the team in that regard. Toward this end, I intensely engage in soccer and fitness exercises on my own to further my skillset and constantly become a better player than before. Off the pitch, I am actively engaged during classes and am open to helping other students succeed in the classroom. I am currently an honor role student at Seoul Foreign High School, maintaining a high GPA .
