I am 2023 goalkeeper living abroad in Singapore. In July, 2021, I was invited to play on Albirex Niigata Singapore FC's men's team. We play in the Singapore Premiere League, the highest level in Singapore. The team consists of players that have played in the J League, Championship, and at the national level. Many of the players were on the youth Japan national team, and one player in particular Tadanari Lee has played for Japan in the Asian Cup and even captained them in 11 international games. At 16 years old, I am the youngest player on the team. This has afforded me an amazing experience to learn from and play with outstanding soccer players. I am constantly challenged and forced to improve my game.
Due to Covid 19, youth soccer games have been halted since January 2020. Fortunately, the U19 Singapore Youth Professional League will be starting in March 2022. I will be the starting choice goalkeeper for the Albirex U19 team, allowing me to have more game time, while also training with and play as the 2nd choice goalkeeper for the men's team. I am confident that this will prepare me to meet the challenging expectations of college soccer in the USA.
As a student, I take academics seriously and work very hard to do my best. I completed my sophomore year and ended with a 3.9 GPA. In August 2021, I began the International Bachelorette Program (IB Program). This is a very rigorous academic program in the 11th and 12th grades. After high school graduation, I am considering business and economics/ finance as majors. I excel in these subjects and find them interesting.
