Personal Statement
My name is Gabriel Clarijs and I am currently 17 years old, turning 18 in May 2024. I hold a Netherlands and Indonesian Passport and I live in Singapore. I study the A-Level course at Insworld Institute in year 13. Graduating in the year 2024. I play for the football club Anza Socceroos which plays in the most competitive youth league in Singapore, Puma Youth Champions League (PYCL). I am privileged to have the Captain role at Anza. Other than Anza I also play For Cosmo League team German All-Stars to gain more experience with more experienced players and physical players. Growing up I started with the club Real Madrid Foundation in Singapore, then joining Turf City FC. Most of my football skills I have learnt at Turf City FC, gaining more game IQ and improving myself as an athlete. In June 2022, Turf City FC hosted a Serbia pre-season trip to play against Top teams such as Redstar Belgrade, FK Rad, FK Vozdovac, Partizan and Mens team FK Zvizd Kucevo. This was a successful pre-season trip as leaving the pre-season with more confidence and experience. Turf City head Coach Srdjan Lalic is the coach that taught me all about football and I have high respect for him. I am not really looking to go college level as my grades are not on based expectations. But after I Finnish school I am going to play for NVS 1 in the Netherlands, Nieuw-Vossemeer. I Was privelidged to train with their first team in 2021 December and they showed their interest in me, unfortunately due to my age both of my parents jobs being in Singapore we decided to join NVS in 2024, if not for colleges showing interest.
