Personal Statement
My name is Love Thoren, and I will graduate with the Class of 2023 at Rudbeck High School in Stockholm, Sweden.
In Sweden, I play at Turebergs IF which is part of Sollentuna FK (www.sollentunafk.se), one of the world's largest soccer clubs with more than 3,200 players in different age groups. It is a competitive soccer club with many teams in the highest division, and I have played for the club for the last ten years.
In 2021, I led my team to win the league in the mideast (Stockholm) conference, a highly competitive league in the capital of Sweden. (Sankt Erikscupen, division 1)
For my team, I play midfielder and am the teams’ key playmaker.
I am ranked at the top for completed passes, including passes that led to goals and goal opportunities. I am also very proud to lead the team as its captain for numerous important games. I consider myself to be an all-round player, and I am willing to take on different positions on the field.
My main strengths as a soccer player are:
- Playmaking
- Calm on the ball
- Hard working
- Comfortable everywhere on the pitch
- Passing
Furthermore, I am always willing to work hard during both practices and games, and I always want to do my best, both personally and for the team. I care about leading the team on and off the soccer field. I want to lead my team to the highest possible achievements, and I want to play and be educated in the U.S.
I am currently holding a 3.3 GPA and I have completed my first SAT test with a score of 1050.
