Personal Statement
As long as I could remember, sports has always been apart of my life, participating in a plethora of extra co-curricular(s) which continually developed and influenced me throughout my childhood and high school year.
Working up from one of the lowest teams in the football program to achieving a spot in the top team that year, consecutively for four years was definitely one of the fondest highlights of my high school journey. However, what truly influenced me as a student-athlete was when I didn't make the cut for the top team that following year (Year 11). It is moments like these that have made me understand that what I was doing was simply not enough, the work- ethic, the effort put in, and the dedication, needed to improve in order for me to improve as a football player.
Much like any sport, football allows you to express your skills on the field. First introduced by my parents, the unique pace of the game and the difficulty required to master the skill of football has memorized, drawn and enticed me back to the game. As each year went on, the game of football has brought me various life lessons and skills that I will cherish forever.
Ultimately, I am looking for a program that will fit me both athletically and academically. I have the persistence, commitment, attitude, passion and teamwork to make an instant effect on your program. As a current two-sport athlete I know the requirements needed to succeed and achieve your goals.
