Personal Statement
My love for soccer first started when my father took me to my first Arsenal game in 2005. Ever since then, soccer has become my biggest passion and because of this I have always aspired to play at the highest level in the sport, in pursuit of following my dreams.
Since playing soccer from a very young age, I have learnt that I am a player who loves to take responsibility on and off the field which has pushed me to becoming captain for my club, school and county team. I have also learnt that my willingness to win on the field, has become a catalyst for me succeeding off the pitch as well as my education is something I take very seriously and also something that I want to excel in.
Along with soccer, another big passion of mine is physical fitness and keeping my body in shape all year round. This passion came about by when I signed up to my first gym membership at the age of 13 and ever since then, speaking about the gym and working out is something I absolutely love. Because of this, I will be looking to study exercise science at a university level as it is something I am very knowledgeable about and something that I feel can also help me from a soccer perspective.
As a player, I am a very passionate defender who loves to get stuck into tackles and battle one to one with an opposing player as I thrive on the aggression of a soccer match. I am a born leader on the field as I am constantly giving instructions before and during the game to the team mates to ensure we perform as we should. I also feel that my leadership on the pitch encourages my team mates to keep fighting till the last whistle and I give as much support to the players around me as possible. In addition to this, I am a very dedicated athlete that acts in a professional manner at all times as I hope to be seen as a player people can look up to.
