Personal Statement
I am a 15year old High School sophomore from Donegal Ireland. I hold dual US /Irish citizenship and would love to play NCAA division 1 soccer in the US while achieving a degree in Sports Psychology and Performance or primary school education. I currently play Left Back for League of Ireland Academy side Derry City FC where I am the starting Left Back/ attacking left winger . I am also part of the Republic of Ireland Emerging Talent program in the 2007 age group .
I am a Left footed left back/left winger and have in the last 2 year competed in an All Ireland Soccer Final, Won 2 Ulster regional Championships with my previous school boy and club sides. I have also won 3 County championship trophy in the 2019 season with my previous club Illistrin FC, In which we won our League, District, and County. We went on and won an Ulster Championship (regional) and progressed to the last 6 of the SFAI national club competition in Ireland.
My School Boys team and I also Won the 2019 Foyle Cup and Sligo Cup and came in as Runners up at the Youdan Trophy in the UK, I was the starting left back/winger in all competitions.
In 2019/2020 I was nominated as Donegal School Boy Athlete of the year.
I also play Gaelic Football in both the U15 and U16 age groups in the position of left half forward for my county Donegal on their u15 academy squad and also on my Club team Naomh Conaill , as well as for my High school, in both age groups aswell. Our Club won our Regional championship the last 2 seasons and came in as runners up in the 2020 , 2021 Donegal County Championship. I was selected in the 2019 season to represent Donegal in the Cuman na nbascoil games at the GAA Ulster Final in Clones Co. Monaghan.
In my spare time I enjoy learning about sports coaching and assist in local community Soccer and Gaelic Football assisting head coaches at both the under 7 and under 9s age groups in my local community.
