Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Jose Miguel Ortiz, I am 21 years old and I am from Venezuela. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 years old, and ever since it has always been my passion. I'm currently a Senior at Middle Georgia State University being member of the Men's soccer program since Fall 2020 until December of the current year that I'll be graduating. I'm looking forward to keep playing college soccer after my senior year at Middle Georgia in a school that can give me the opportunity to get into graduate school while I do what I love the most which is playing soccer.
I am a very disciplined and responsible person and athlete. I play right back for Middle Georgia and I feel in this position I can give the best version of myself due to my quick pace and good defending and technique with the ball. However, during my freshman & Sophomore year I played more as a winger or attacking midfielder. My strengths on the field are, Leadership; I like to always have a positive attitude and to encourage my teammates to give the very best in every game, I consider myself a leader on and off the field. On the field, I am also a fast player, with good technique. I am able to use both legs while playing and kick the ball with the left and right foot. I have also performed well at playing attacking midfielder for my teams.
Currently, I am finishing my undergraduate on Sports Management and I'm working hard on and off the field to get a new opportunity for my Master which I'd like to do since I still got 2 more years of eligibility. My main goal in life now is to be able to pursue a career in business and continue my academics in a graduate school while I play good soccer in the states.
