Personal Statement
My name is Conor Buckley and I am currently a 16-year-old from Melbourne, Australia.
I am hoping to find a college to support my academic and Soccer aspirations as through research the USA college system is a much better method of starting my career. I am motivated to balance books and Soccer in order to achieve my goals on the other side of the world.
Academically, I have received awards and scholarships into high-school already and have an avid interest in Project Management as a back up if Soccer does not work out for me.
I have just won my second Player's Player of the year in three years and got nominated for club Player of the year.
Currently playing at an Under 20 level, I have been asked to play up in the Reserve squad at my club, Banyule City SC, which competes in the third tier of the state of Victoria and I have been consistently training with the Under 20s and the reserves twice a week.
Injury-wise I am clean of any injuries.
I am a dominant Centre-Back with ball playing ability, I can do jobs at full back and Striker if need be.
In terms of other sports, I have made the Under 18 All-Australian side for Gaelic Football in 2018 and have won MVPs in Australian Rules Football and Basketball through my junior years.
I also am an assistant coach to an Under 12s team and am looking to coach my own team through the start of 2020.
