Personal Statement
I have had a passion for soccer from an early age and I constantly strive to improve my performance and understanding of the game. I am a 6ft 3 defensive midfielder who has played in the midlands junior premier league for the last 4 seasons. My teams have been West Bromwich Albion Development Squad and Darlaston Town FC, and it is important to note in nearly every fixture I have started. Both of which I have served as captain. During this time I have been honored to also be chosen to represent the league select team playing against leagues from different regions, including Manchester, Ireland and Blackpool.
Although I work extremely hard to improve my football knowledge and capabilities I also ensure that this does not have an impact on my academic studies. On successful completion of my GCSE exams, I have progressed to one of the best 6th form colleges in the region. This being King Edward VI College. I am currently working hard studying for my A-levels in Maths, Business and Economics.
My personal drive to pursue my sporting and academic targets have led me to looking for the best opportunities to further my career. The opportunity to play and study in the United States is a personal objective and one that i will pursue with every effort to reach my true potential.
Alongside playing for various soccer squads, I have also been apart of different teams. These include: Badminton solos and doubles team and the Maths Quiz Team. During my time at high school i competed in many competitions. I have been placed runner-up x2 in the Arts Competition for my guitar ability and in 2021 I broke the school 800m record whilst winning several other events as Head Boy of the school.
