My name is Ben Richardson. I will be a 2024 graduate of Baxter High School. I have a genuine passion and drive for the sport of soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. Growing up I had a love for all things sports. This love of competition has only grown stronger as I have grown older. I am a multi- sport high school varsity athlete. I participate in both baseball and basketball, as well as soccer. Though I enjoy all sports, my goal has always been to become a collegiate soccer player. Outside of my high school season, I also am a part of a select club team. I spend my off season working hard to become a better, more complete soccer player. My soccer skills include being quick to the ball, having excellent field-sense, being a team player, and having a knack for finding the goal. My soccer IQ is very high. Additionally, I pride myself on being a team player, rather than a "me" player. I am hardworking, coachable, and have strong leadership skills. I feel that these characteristics make me an excellent candidate for playing at the next level.
In addition to my athletic skills, I am also a solid student. School has never been as easy for me as it is for many others. This, however, has taught me the importance of being organized, focused, and driven. These are characteristic that help me in the classroom, on the field, and in life.
My goal going forward is to continue both my athletic and academic careers at a college where I can push myself to become a better athlete, student, and person. I am open to all options, and look forward to connecting with coaches who feel I will be a good match for their program.
