Rentse De Jong '24 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer since I was six years old. Ever since I first stepped onto the field, I have fell in love with the game. Since then, my dream to play college soccer has grown throughout the years and I realize the effort, determination, and pure willpower that is needed to succeed. I plan to give my all, all the time to reach my ultimate goal.

I'm a technical player with great passing skills and I'm very fast. Next to delivering assists I have a good talent for scoring goals, including headers. Next to my technical skills I have good situational awareness on the field and see the opportunities. Along with that, I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my peers, on and off the field. My personality leaves me very coachable and I desire feedback to make me a stronger student athlete. Effort is what I am known for, and my belief in giving 100% is one of my priorities. This includes in the classroom, on the field, and as a recruit.

In the classroom, I study very hard and withhold a 4.43 GPA. I am also actively involved in my school and community. I started being a soccer referee when I was 12 and I still love doing it when my soccer schedule allows. My mindset is to attend a college where I can challenge myself on both the academic and athletic side. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the college that is best fit for me, academically and athletically. With these things said, I desire to play at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and the college I choose. Above all else, I aspire to become a successful student, athlete, and role model to all around me.
