Hello,
My name is Oliver Frankenfeld. I am a 6'2" center-back in Lawrence, Kansas. I play for my high school team, Lawrence Free State High School, and my club team, BVB International Academy. I have wanted to play professional soccer my whole life, and during my high school career that has morphed into playing college soccer. I started playing when I was five, even though the rest of my family did not play any. I remember my first practice vividly because it was canceled due to rain, but after I became visibly upset so the coach decided to still have practice, even though it was just me and his two sons. Ever since then I have been in love with the game and have not wanted to stop.
I was captain my last season because of my constant communication on and off the field, as well as my high level of play. My size and skill helps defensively, but I am also able to play from the back and have the tactical awareness to feed the offense. My compatibility and strong work ethic to become better everyday would benefit any team I get on. I am extremely competitive and love to win; striving to win every game, even in practice.
I would like to play for a possession attacking style team that keeps the ball and looks to go forward. I believe that this kind of team would play into my strengths and help me grow as a soccer player. I am willing to play whatever role a team wants me to play, even if that means limited minutes.
I care about my education and would love to continue it on in college. I hope to major in Strength Training. I have a 3.7 GPA, part of the National Honor Society, and on the honor roll.
Overall, because of my work ethic to become a better soccer player everyday, I would love to play for a competitive program that would challenge me.
