Getting up early on a Saturday morning and getting ready for a game is the most prominent memory for me. Ever since I was a little kid, sports have been a huge part of my life. I've played many sports like soccer, baseball, basketball, and even a little tennis. But, only one stuck with me, soccer. The way someone can handle a ball and control it so well mesmerizes me. Being able to make a last minute diving save or catching a beautiful cross beats dribbling any day. Seeing keepers that can do those kinds of thing make me want, even need, to get better so I can eventually be on their level. Keeping that perfect save in mind drives me to practice and get myself better so one day I'll be someone young players look up to. Becoming better pushes me to make myself better, it helps me gain focus and discipline, and to keep the end goal in sight. This transfers over into school which takes as much or even more dedication and focus to do well. Soccer pushes me to try and get as close to perfection as I can. This is why I get up early on Saturday mornings, to test out my newfound skill which is a reward for the hard work I've put into the art of the game.
