Hello, my name is Michael Patterson, but I go by Dillon. Many people know me by my nickname Hugo given to me several years ago by another keeper I trained with. It has always been an aspiration of mine to play high level college soccer. I currently train with Thabane Sutu who is now the goalkeeper coach for Orlando City. I have had regular year round training with him since the 6th grade. I am a hard worker and have had a decorated career so far. In high school I have been the starting varsity goalkeeper since the beginning of Freshman year. At my former club, Javanon FC, I played up a year for the Javanon 01 Black (1st team) coached by Bellarmine University Head Coach Tim Chastonay. In 2017 we won state cup championship. From there we went to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where we won Region 2 and advanced into the national championship in Frisco, Texas. At one point we were ranked #1 in the nation but fell short placing third in the National Championship. This did qualify us to play in the National League the following year. In 2018 we won State Cup again and advanced to Westfield, Indiana for Regionals a second year in a row. We fell short in the semifinals to the eventual winner of the National Championship. While at Javanon I was also called up to the 2000 black (1st team) to fill in for their starting keeper during injury. The start of this season I made the decision to move back to my own age group and joined United 1996 FC 2002 International, coached by Rizah Sejdic. Recently my team competed in the Disney Showcase where I recorded 2 clean sheets in 3 games. At the end of my 2019 summer I was invited to train with coaches of Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Netherlands for three weeks and play against two Dutch and one Japanese team. I was given the chance to train with the academy for a week and a half as well.
I would like to thank you for your time and interest in me as a student athlete. I am dedicated and driven to succeed both academically and in higher level soccer. I love to learn and train and am willing to work hard. I look forward to speaking with you in the future.
